It costs £24 and most methods of payment are accepted. Please note, 3-year Railcards are available to buy online only.
If you haven't purchased a Railcard online before: Complete the online application process, and once payment has been made online you will receive an email confirmation and acknowledgement of your application number. One thing to bear in mind for the first time you buy online, is that your Railcard will start from the date you purchase, so it's best to time it as close to your current Railcard expiry as possible. Your Railcard will be processed within one working day and sent by First Class post (free of charge). If you purchased your last Railcard online: Your Railcard will be processed within one working day and sent by First Class post (free of charge). To renew online go to Buy or renew now
You can renew your Railcard up to one month in advance of its expiry date (providing there is no break in continuity) if you renew at a station ticket office or over the phone. Renewing in advance online is only available if you purchased your last Railcard online. If you're buying online for the first time, your Railcard will start from the date of purchase, not from the renewal date. So we would advise buying it as close to your renewal date as possible.
