2. Where can I renew my Railcard?

It's easy to renew your Railcard online - go to Buy or renew now.

Over the Phone - To renew by phone, just call 08457 48 49 50 (calls to this number are charged at a local rate and may be recorded) and ask for your nearest Train Company's telesales number. Payments can be made by credit or debit card. Please ensure you allow enough time before your journey for your new Railcard to reach you.

In Person - Simply complete the application form and take it to your nearest staffed station ticket office or a Natioanl Rail licensed Travel Agent. It costs £24 and most methods of payment are accepted.

Please note, 3-year Railcards are available to buy online only.

3. How do I renew my Railcard online?

If you haven't purchased a Railcard online before:
Simply register as a new user on the Railcard website with a valid email address and a password (only one Railcard purchase per email address - your email address is your unique reference).

Complete the online application process, and once payment has been made online you will receive an email confirmation and acknowledgement of your application number.

One thing to bear in mind for the first time you buy online, is that your Railcard will start from the date you purchase, so it's best to time it as close to your current Railcard expiry as possible.

Your Railcard will be processed within one working day and sent by First Class post (free of charge).

If you purchased your last Railcard online:
Simply log in, check your details and pay securely.
As your last Railcard is on the system, you can renew up to 30 days in advance of your current Railcard expiry date, so your new one will start when your old one expires - making sure you won't miss out on any savings.

Your Railcard will be processed within one working day and sent by First Class post (free of charge).

4. Can I renew my Railcard in advance?

You can renew your Railcard up to one month in advance of its expiry date (providing there is no break in continuity) if you renew at a station ticket office or over the phone.

Renewing in advance online is only available if you purchased your last Railcard online. If you're buying online for the first time, your Railcard will start from the date of purchase, not from the renewal date. So we would advise buying it as close to your renewal date as possible.
